The Lamar Dixon Expo Center opened in 1999 under the supervision of original owners Bill and Mary Lee Dixon. Arena, a 35,000-square-foot event space used for concerts and rodeo shows. Among the most prominent of these is the Ascension Gymnasium, a 25,000-square-foot gym used for the region’s basketball and volleyball events. The center is made up of a slew of different facilities.
